{this moment}*

melodic reflections
{this moment} ~ A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.

*Enjoying the unexpected that comes from dabbling with sound...

    1. Thank you! What I noticed most was the reflection in the back board, and decided it would be more interesting to capture less of the black and white keys and more of the wood...

      Thanks for the visit today!

  2. It's been nice to visit Moments this morning and imagine hearing the music in so many of them.

We have record-breaking cold and snow this winter but still enjoying time outdoors. Our Snowshoes

    1. I haven't had much time to browse other blogs today, but I can definitely see how something musical might end up in a moment. Need a little of that when you're cooped up inside!

    1. Oh yes! I love to be able to sit down and play when I have time... This one was actually my grandparents' piano - since my grandpa was SURE they couldn't live without one when he and my grandma first got married. They have a baby-grand now, so I thoroughly enjoy visiting them. ;)

  4. Gorgeous! It is my hope that we will have a piano someday!

Our moment comes from Emma's seventh birthday last Saturday! She was so happy to turn seven!

    1. Thank you! It really is a blessing I know I take for granted...for as long as I can remember my family has had a piano in the house! I much prefer the sound of a real one to that of a keyboard (although there are certainly some nice keyboards out there nowadays)...

    1. Music seems always to brighten things up. :) I'm really not a very accomplished pianist, but I have recently been enjoying creating a bit of my own music. Don't know exactly how to describe my "style" but much of my inspiration is taken from more modern renditions of some hymns as well as what you might call "flowy new-agey" music. Ever heard of Windham Hill? I would however, like to branch out and maybe try my hand at learning some Jazz or Swing pieces... So many possibilities.
